Job summary

H&R Block in Inman, South Carolina is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll learn advanced tax training and work with an expert team, while delivering accurate returns and friendly service.

Responsibilities include conducting tax interviews, preparing returns, and supporting client growth and retention. Prior CPA/EA certification or progress toward is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
