Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to guide clients through their tax needs. You will deliver individual and complex tax preparation with support from a specialist team and access to advanced training to help you succeed.

You’ll engage clients through in-person and virtual interviews, drive growth, and provide IRS support with a focus on accuracy and service quality. This role emphasizes client relationships and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
