Job summary

H&R Block in Moncks Corner, SC is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You will receive advanced tax training and work with an expert team to ensure successful tax preparation and client service.

This role requires conducting tax interviews—face-to-face and via virtual tools—preparing complete tax returns, and helping drive client growth and retention through cross-selling of services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field


• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification


• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
