Job summary

H&R Block in Louisville, KY is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll receive advanced tax training and work with a supportive team to deliver accurate returns and proactive tax planning.

You must have a bachelor’s in accounting or related field; CPA or Enrolled Agent is preferred; 5+ years in tax plus experience with virtual interviews and client growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience is a plus.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
