Job summary

H&R Block in Michigan is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to serve clients with diverse tax needs and build relationships that grow stronger each year.

You will receive advanced tax training and work with an expert team to prepare complete returns, conduct client interviews (in person or virtually), and provide IRS support.

Preferred candidates hold CPA or EA certification and have 5+ years in accounting, tax, or finance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
