H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a seasonal Tax Professional to assist clients with diverse tax needs. You’ll conduct tax interviews in person and via virtual tools, and prepare complete, accurate tax returns with support from an expert team during peak season.

You will receive advanced tax training, mentorship, and opportunities to grow client relationships while meeting IRS/state requirements and continuing education. This role emphasizes building trust and delivering timely tax services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

Required Qualifications

  • Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment²
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
