H&R Block is seeking an experienced Tax Professional for the seasonal period to serve clients with diverse tax needs, backed by a team of tax experts. You will receive advanced training and become proficient in handling complex returns while building lasting client relationships.

This role emphasizes tax interviews, accurate returns, and opportunities to grow with a national brand while delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership) is expected.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification is desirable.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews and tax planning supports is advantageous.
• Strong client relationship skills and ability to generate business growth.

• Provide clients with IRS support and audit notice assistance as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field


• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification


• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)


• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews


• Experience with tax planning and audit support


• Sales and/or marketing experience

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2


• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax


• Experience completing individual returns


• Experience working in a fast-paced environment


• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat


• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing


• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements


• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
