The role involves conducting tax interviews both in-person and via virtual tools, preparing accurate returns, and driving client growth while ensuring IRS assistance when needed. This position is seasonal and office-based, with expected performance in a fast-paced environment.

Joining H&R Block1 as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.

1 - This office is an independently owned and operated franchise office operating under an agreement with H&R Block. Franchisees make their own hiring decisions and any questions regarding employment at this office should be made directly to the franchisee. 2 - Enrollmentinor completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment is neither an offer nor a guarantee of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership)
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews
• Experience with tax planning and audit support
• Sales and/or marketing experience

  • All certification levels can provide tax notice services

Your Expertise:

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment2
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$15.00 - $18.00/Hr.
