Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. in Bangor, ME is seeking a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional to help clients with a wide range of tax needs and build lasting relationships. You will work with an expert team and receive advanced tax training to be successful.

You will conduct tax interviews, prepare complete returns, and identify opportunities to grow client relationships and offer additional products and services while delivering IRS support and guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification preferred.
• Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• 5+ years in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax.
• Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.

Your Expertise

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or tax
• Experience completing individual returns
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort working with virtual tools – video, phone and chat
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone and in writing
• Must complete continuing education requirement and meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher

Pay Range

$18.00 - $18.00/Hr.
