Job summary

PYA is seeking a Tax Principal to oversee tax compliance, planning, and consulting for a diverse client base from offices in Atlanta and beyond. The role leads and mentors tax teams, reviews complex returns, and maintains key client relationships while ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of tax experience in a public accounting, consulting firm, or equivalent industry leadership
• CPA or EA license or other recognized certification required
• Experience with 990s, partnerships and S corporations, and individual returns preferred
• Client-oriented work ethic with a drive for high-quality results
• Creative problem-solving with strategic, analytical thinking and advisory mindset
• Industry experience in healthcare, financial institutions, real estate, or related fields is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead clients and teams with strong project management and relationship development
• Advise on tax issues to complete planning, advisory, compliance, and accounting work
• Develop a team of tax consultants to ensure exceptional client service
