Job summary

The Bonadio Group is seeking a Tax Principal to lead and grow our Small Business Advisory (SBA) team on a hybrid schedule in the Wilmington, DE area, with flexibility to include Philadelphia, southern New Jersey, Baltimore and northern Maryland. You will mentor staff, manage client engagements, and identify new business opportunities to drive growth and service quality.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s in accounting, CPA or EA certification, and at least seven years of CPA firm experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA or EA certification required.
• Minimum seven years of relevant CPA firm experience.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead teams.
• Proven ability to develop and sustain business relationships to grow the firm's client base.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Lead and mentor staff on client engagements and provide evaluative feedback.
• Service clients across multiple industries with tax compliance, research, planning, and preparation.
• Review and prepare clear and concise working papers.
• Deliver projects on time and within budget to client satisfaction.
• Travel as needed to service clients and develop business.
