You will gather financial data, perform tax research, ensure IRS compliance, and deliver exceptional client service. Strong knowledge of tax laws and proficiency with TurboTax, H&R Block, or QuickBooks is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in tax preparation or a related field.
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including the IRS code.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, such as TurboTax, H&R Block, or QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IRS regulations
• Assist clients with tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities
• Conduct tax research and stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to clients, answering their questions and addressing their concerns
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the tax preparation process
• Maintain and organize client records and tax documentation
• Prepare and submit payroll tax filings for clients, including quarterly and annual filings
• Assist with the preparation of estimated tax payments for clients
