Ideal candidates bring at least three years of tax prep experience, proficiency with UltraTax CS, and strong client communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience preparing taxes.
• Experience with Ultra Tax CS.
• Proven experience working directly with clients, with the ability to explain accounting and tax concepts in plain terms.
• Familiarity with estates, trusts, and small businesses preferred.
• Professional, courteous, and concise communicator who listens actively.
• Strong attention to detail and sound, rules-based analytical judgment.
• Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to consistently meet the deadlines of the tax and accounting profession.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to understand their tax needs.
• Review client documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Respond to client tax questions with clear guidance.
• Develop working knowledge of B. Riley Wealth services.
• Identify opportunities to offer financial solutions beyond tax preparation.
• Connect clients with appropriate financial professionals to grow client assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
