Job summary

H&R Block is hiring for a role at our Virginia West Point location. You will assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program, and help close the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, strong reading and math skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in person

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Effective communication in person and over the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, review the product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures at interview closing.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients receive superior service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Expertise

• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
