Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a team member to support the tax interview process, entering client and W-2 information into the tax program and helping assemble tax returns with accuracy.

The role emphasizes delivering superior client service, signing off on completed returns, and performing bookkeeping tasks as needed; other duties may be assigned to support franchise operations.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Provide superior service to all clients during interactions

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, and review the finished product with the client
• Complete bookkeeping procedures and ensure accurate documentation
• Perform all other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring To The Team

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
