Job summary

H&R Block in the United States is seeking an entry-level team member to support the tax interview process. You will enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and help prepare the tax return.

You will assemble the return, obtain signatures, review the product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures while delivering superior service. Basic reading and math required; strong communication and comfort with Windows-based software are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain required signatures, and complete bookkeeping procedures at interview end.
• Review the finished product with the client and ensure client understanding and satisfaction.
• Provide all other duties as assigned.

• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned

Your Expertise

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs
• Additional state and local requirements may apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional course work in math, accounting, or finance
