Job summary

Inceed, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Tax Preparer in Edmond, OK. The role focuses on hands-on individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns with emphasis on accuracy, client follow-up, and teamwork in a collaborative accounting environment.

The position requires 1–3 years of public accounting experience, proficiency with Lacerte, and knowledge of QuickBooks. Strong detail orientation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1–3 years of public accounting experience
• Experience preparing tax returns in a professional setting
• Proficiency with Lacerte tax software
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear communication and follow-through with clients and team members

Responsibilities

Compensation:$60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience

This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented tax professional who enjoys hands-on return preparation, client follow-up, and supporting a collaborative accounting team. In this role, you’ll help prepare a variety of tax returns while contributing to a firm known for its client service, steady workflow, and commitment to professional growth.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Organize client documentation and enter tax data accurately
• Identify missing information and follow up as needed
• Communicate progress, deadlines, and issues to internal team members
• Support quarterly estimates and basic tax planning tasks
• Stay current on tax procedures and ongoing training
• Meet internal deadlines while maintaining quality and confidentiality
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• 1-3 years of public accounting experience
• Experience preparing tax returns in a professional setting
• Proficiency with Lacerte tax software
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Clear communication and follow-through with clients and team members

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• CPA license or active CPA pursuit
• Experience with trust tax return preparation
• Experience with SmartVault document management
• Familiarity with Podio workflow management
• Exposure to quarterly tax estimates and tax planning
• Internship experience in public accounting
• Cell phone reimbursement of $75 per month
