Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a team member to assist with the tax interview process and the completion of clients' returns at the Iowa franchise location. You will enter client and W-2 information, assemble returns, obtain signatures, and review the final product with the client.

The role emphasizes clear communication, reading and math skills, and proficiency with Windows-based programs. A high school diploma is required, with additional coursework in math, accounting, or finance preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
