Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a front-line tax assistant in West Union, South Carolina. You will help start tax interviews by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program and assist in closing interviews by assembling returns and obtaining signatures.

You will review the finished product with clients, maintain high service levels, and perform related duties as assigned to support accurate tax filing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
