Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Interview Assistant in Minnesota to support clients during tax preparation.

You’ll enter client and W-2 information into the tax program and help prepare the tax return with accurate signatures and bookkeeping steps. You'll work to ensure every client receives superior service, communicating effectively in person and on the phone, and you’ll perform other duties as assigned while meeting state requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reading and math skills are required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs is preferred.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
