Job summary

The Nash Group P.S. in Fircrest, WA seeks an experienced tax professional to own and grow a book of about 300 clients, mainly individuals with some S/C corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates. You will sign returns, lead client meetings, and expand services over time.

You will mentor a small team, work closely with the owner and Lead Senior Preparer, and position the firm for growth across multiple locations. Immediate opening; ready to start by the 2027 filing season.

Qualifications

• Active CPA or Enrolled Agent certification required.
• 5+ years in public accounting tax work with hands-on preparation and review.
• Experience signing S corp, partnership, and trust/estate returns as preparer of record.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a client book and supervise staff.
• Strong ability to explain tax concepts to business owners in plain language.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and sign individual, S/C corp, partnership, C corp, trust and estate returns.
• Own client relationships: meetings, calls, notices, and planning conversations.
• Grow the book by adding services and bringing on new clients.
• Review staff work, provide feedback, and train the team.
• Assist with Drake Tax migration and maintain a fully paperless workflow.
• Participate in management discussions and influence firm operations.
• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly and support financial planning.
