Job summary

CLA in Minnesota seeks an Internal Operations Intern across our Alexandria, Brainerd, Monticello, and St. Cloud locations. The internship runs January 2027 to April 2027 and offers exposure to tax document workflow, client service, and team collaboration.

You will review and organize client tax documents, assist with intake, file electronically, and support meeting government deadlines while learning new technologies and MS Office in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; degree strongly preferred.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Review and organize client incoming tax documents.
• Assist intake of tax information and routing prep.
• Track and keep client documents current.
• Organize, scan and process tax documents.
• Assemble client tax returns following procedures.
• Assist team to meet government deadlines.
• E-file and other final delivery steps.
• Prepare informational tax documents.
• Provide general operational support as requested.
