Job summary

CLA in St. Louis, MO is seeking Internal Operations Interns for a January 2027 start through April 2027. The role focuses on organizing tax documents, information intake, and timely processing to support client service and compliance.

You will work with a team to track documents, prepare for filing, and assist with e-filing while gaining exposure to tax operations in a professional services environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with accounting or finance emphasis.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Windows and MS Office.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and organizes client incoming tax documents.
• Assists with intake of tax information and prepares for routing.
• Ensures all client documents are tracked and current.
• Organizes, scans and processes tax documents.
• Assembles client tax returns following procedures.
• Assists team in meeting government deadlines.
• E-filing and other final delivery steps.
• Other responsibilities may include preparation of informational tax documents.
• General operational support and other responsibilities/tasks as requested.
