Job summary

Bluespring Wealth Midwest is seeking a Tax Manager in Madison to prep individual and business tax returns, review documentation, and provide proactive tax advice. You will work under the Head of Tax with Tax Lead and Tax Administrator, coordinating with Wealth Advisors and Planning Specialists.

The role suits a preparer with 2–4 years of experience, strong detail, and the ability to discuss planning opportunities with clients in clear terms. Extended hours during filing season are expected.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of experience preparing individual or business income tax returns.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent credential, or active progress toward one, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business income tax returns, including forms and state filings, for review.
• Reconcile client source documents and cost basis records.
• Prepare extensions and quarterly estimated payment calculations.
• Document workpapers and draft responses to IRS/state notices.
• Meet with clients to review returns and provide proactive tax advice.
• Engage in tax projections and planning with the advisory team.
• Coordinate e-filing, payment processing, and delivery of returns.
