Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and review of federal and state estate, gift, and trust tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041).
  • Provide tax planning and consulting to high-net-worth clients on estate, trust, and gift tax issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive Private Client Services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to provide exceptional client service.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and tax laws to provide accurate and relevant advice.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities with existing clients.
  • Mentor, guide, and review work of junior team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust, estate, and gift tax planning and compliance.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Forms 706, 709, and 1041.
  • Prior experience working with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and private client services (PCS) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts, estates, and gifts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
