Tax Manager, State & Local Tax (Income / Franchise) - Remote Option

This position offers an opportunity to be part of a leading tax firm, working with a diverse team to serve high-profile clients. Responsibilities include participating in compliance and consulting projects for multi-state clients, reviewing tax calculations, and managing client relationships while mentoring staff.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in compliance and consulting projects for multi-state alternative investment clients (hedge fund, fund of funds, private equity, real estate).
• Assist in providing industry-specific knowledge and experience.
• Review tax calculations and information on state income tax returns.
• Build and maintain client relationships, supervise, mentor, and develop staff.

Qualifications:

• Minimum five years of recent experience in preparing/reviewing state income tax returns for pass-through and corporate entities, with expertise in multi-state tax issues.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or MTX license, or equivalent credentials. Candidates without these credentials have one year from hire to obtain at least one.
• Experience with pass-through entities and relevant state tax concepts.
• Strong relationship-building skills, team-oriented attitude, and excellent communication and research skills.
