KPMG is seeking a Manager for our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice. Responsibilities include:

1. Participating in compliance and consulting projects for multi-state alternative investment clients (hedge funds, fund of funds, private equity, real estate).
2. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide industry-specific knowledge and experience.
3. Reviewing tax calculations and information on state income tax returns.
4. Building and managing client relationships, supervising, mentoring, and developing staff.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum five years of recent experience preparing/reviewing state income tax returns for pass-through and corporate entities, with technical advice on multi-state tax issues.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; licensed CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or MTX. Candidates without an approved credential at hire have one year to obtain one.
• Experience with pass-through entities and knowledge of relevant state tax concepts.
• Ability to foster internal and client relationships.
• Strong teamwork, communication, project management, and tax research skills.
