Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Manager, State & Local Tax to join their Stamford, CT office.

Responsibilities

• Build client relationships and knowledge of their businesses
• Liaise with Tax Partners to satisfy the needs of planning compliance
• Assess and manage firm risk on tax services performed
• Research, write, and consult on various tax engagements
• Answer inquiries from state tax authorities
• Responsible for sales tax and other tax return preparation
• Supervise and mentor staff and review and evaluate their work
• Manage multiple clients, budgets, and production goals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, MST preferred
• 10+ years of progressive tax experience
• 6+ years of SALT experience
• Public accounting background required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Strong managerial and leadership skills
• CPA, EA, or JD required
