An established public accounting firm is seeking a Tax Manager with real estate industry experience to join its growing tax practice. This role will focus on tax compliance, technical research, client relationships, and staff development for real estate clients, including property-level entities and REITs.

The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting background, experience reviewing complex tax returns, and the ability to manage client engagements and mentor staff. Candidates based in South Florida are preferred, though the opportunity can be fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Review complex federal and state tax returns for real estate entities, partnerships, and other business clients.
• Oversee tax compliance engagements, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery.
• Research and resolve complex tax issues, providing practical guidance on technical matters.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and addressing their tax needs.
• Manage engagements from planning through completion, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance on real estate tax matters and communicate with tax authorities when needed.
• Lead, mentor, and develop staff, supporting their technical growth and day-to-day performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, strengthen processes, and enhance client service.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on client development and opportunities to expand the real estate tax practice.
