Job description

Ready to take ownership of complex real estate tax work while growing as a leader? As a Tax Manager, you'll advise real estate clients on compliance and planning, build lasting client relationships, and guide a team of tax professionals. This is an opportunity to pair your technical expertise with meaningful client-facing work and help shape the growth of the tax practice. The role is based in Miami, Florida, with an annual salary range of $150,000 to $170,000.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review complex individual, partnership, corporation, S corporation, trust, and other business tax returns for real estate clients.
  • Help real estate clients navigate complex tax decisions through thoughtful planning, consulting, and compliance support.
  • Research and resolve complex federal, state, and local tax issues, and communicate technical guidance to clients and internal teams.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client relationships, delivering proactive advisory services and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and manage engagement planning, budgeting, scheduling, and project execution to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Communicate with federal and state taxing authorities regarding audits, notices, and tax-related inquiries.
  • Coach and develop tax professionals, sharing your technical expertise and helping them grow.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support complex client engagements and provide integrated tax solutions.
  • Identify business development opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships, and support growth initiatives within the tax practice.
  • Maintain current knowledge of evolving tax legislation, regulatory changes, and real estate industry trends.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • 6 to 8 years of recent public accounting experience, including substantial real estate tax compliance and consulting work.
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws affecting real estate entities and investors.
  • Experience reviewing complex tax returns for individuals and business entities.
  • Proven expertise in tax research, tax planning, and resolving complex tax matters.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and staff development skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
  • Proficiency with tax software, Microsoft Office applications, and paperless accounting environments.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Taxation (MST) or related advanced degree.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional client-facing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and keep engagements moving forward.
  • Experience supporting business development initiatives and expanding client relationships.
