LHH Recruitment Solutions partners with a well-established CPA firm in South Minneapolis to hire a Tax Manager into its leadership team. This role offers more than tax compliance, including building client relationships, shaping the firm's direction, and pursuing a clearly defined path to partnership and ownership.

Ideal candidates are CPAs with 3+ years in public accounting, who enjoy working with business owners and high-net-worth clients, and who want influence over firm operations and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Experience serving closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients preferred.
• Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and trust taxation.
• Experience with Lacerte and QuickBooks preferred.
• Interest in firm leadership and long-term ownership opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex tax returns including: Forms 1040, 1120-S, 1065 & 1041.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners and individual clients.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Provide tax planning and consulting guidance.
• Review staff work and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate directly with firm leadership on operational and strategic initiatives.
• Support succession planning and future ownership responsibilities.
