Job Summary:

As a Tax Manager you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our tax practice. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of talented tax professionals, providing expert tax planning and compliance services, and developing and maintaining strong client relationships. Additionally, this position offers a clear path to partnership, providing you with the opportunity to shape the future direction of our firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively lead and manage a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and ensure high-quality client service.
  • Utilize your extensive tax knowledge and experience to develop and implement comprehensive tax planning strategies for our clients. Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, proactively identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic tax guidance. Understand their business goals and challenges, anticipate their needs, and deliver tailored solutions to drive their success.
  • Actively participate in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, attending networking events, and showcasing our firm's tax expertise.
  • Collaborate with other service lines within the firm, such as audit and advisory, to deliver integrated client solutions. Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Keep abreast of the latest tax laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive and innovative tax planning strategies. Share your expertise through internal training sessions and professional presentations.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of [5] years of experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of managing and leading a team of tax professionals.
  • Exceptional client service skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex tax concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business development acumen and a proven ability to identify and pursue new client opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Ambition and a desire to advance to a partnership position within our firm.
