Job summary

CLA—CliftonLarsonAllen is seeking a Tax Director/Manager to join the Eastern Ohio Tax team in an in-office role based out of Canton or Akron.

You will consult with franchise owners on tax planning, lead tax engagements, and develop staff while building opportunities for clients and communities. Active CPA/EA or JD and 6+ years of tax experience are required.

• 6+ years of tax experience in public accounting or professional services.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active JD, CPA, or EA certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with franchise ownership clients on tax planning and business processes.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to build inspired careers.

• Attend industry events and trainings to stay current.
• Perform a range of tax procedures based on engagement size/complexity.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-through, and high-net-worth personal tax returns.

CLA is looking to hire a Tax Director or Manager to join CLA Eastern Ohio's Tax team. You'll have the opportunity in this role to work with our clients as you progress in your inspired career. This is an in-office position based out of either our Canton or Akron offices.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Manager/Director role:

• Consult with franchise ownership clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-thru, and HNW personal tax returns.

What you will need:

• You have a minimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm.
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
