The role involves reviewing tax engagements for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, mentoring junior staff, and managing multiple client relationships while identifying tax planning opportunities and handling IRS/state notices. Collaboration with partners drives client strategy and firm initiatives.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of public accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing tax work and supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships.
• Strong tax research skills and critical thinking beyond compliance.
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters UltraTax and QuickBooks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage tax engagements across individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, including reviewing work and providing feedback.
• Manage multiple client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for clients.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide strategic guidance to clients.
• Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues, including IRS/state notices.
• Stay current on federal and state tax law and apply updates to client situations.
• Collaborate with partners on client strategy and firm initiatives.
