Job summary

Kemper CPA Group LLP seeks a Tax Manager in Robinson, Illinois. The candidate will oversee federal, state, and local tax engagements, supervise staff, and coordinate client work across the tax practice.

Overtime may occur during peak seasons and a strong client service orientation is essential. Qualified applicants will have a CPA designation and at least five years of supervisory tax experience in a regional or national public accounting environment.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of tax experience in supervisory capacity.
• Ability to coordinate staff and client expectations by planning assignments and communicating outcomes.
• Produce and manage budget expectations for engagements and staff.
• Demonstrate technology skills contributing to tax engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review federal, state, local and local tax returns collecting, analyzing, and formatting financial information.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, reports, and records.
• Maintain professional standards and knowledge via workshops and seminars; stay current on tax legislation affecting business climate.
• Promote firm and cultivate positive client relationships; participate in professional and civic activities.
• Manage assigned book of business within budgeted revenue and realization expectations; develop staff.
