Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group, a well established regional CPA firm in Los Angeles, seeks a Tax Manager to lead the efficient preparation of client tax returns and to guide tax planning across diverse industries.

You will supervise accounting staff and seniors, perform technical review of returns and government examinations, and collaborate with partners on client service and firm growth toward partnership; the firm offers a strong work-life balance, attractive bonuses, and a 5% 401(k) employer

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of public accounting experience with increasing tax complexity, scope and research.
• 1+ year supervising and directing work of tax preparers.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required; master’s degree in taxation is preferred.
• A current and valid CPA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all clients’ tax returns and reviews unusual tax situations.
• Performs technical tax review and approves returns and government tax examinations of any complexity.
• Supervises and coaches tax staff, seniors, and associates in daily work and reviews.
• Participates in client meetings and tax planning to assist with larger clients.
• Represents clients before tax authorities when delegated by partners.
