Current is seeking a Tax Manager to lead day‑to‑day tax matters for middle market clients, partnering with senior leadership to deliver high‑quality service. The role emphasizes technical tax knowledge, client relations, and team leadership from a US East Coast‑based team aligned with EST hours.

Qualifications

• This position requires a BS/BA in Accounting and CPA or EA licensure.
• 4+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Master of Science in Taxation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead client relationships on day-to-day tax matters, supporting partners with service execution.
• Plan and participate in tax projects and compliance on various middle market client engagements.
• Consult on technical matters and special projects in corporate and flow-through taxation, ASC 740, and related areas.
• Research and consult on various tax matters and respond to IRS inquiries as needed.
• Provide recommendations for business and process improvements based on client operations and objectives.
• Proactively build relationships and communicate effectively with clients to deliver superior service.
• Collaborate with partners to develop new business opportunities.
• Train, supervise, and manage staff through coaching and performance reviews.
• Manage engagements to meet revenue and profit objectives, including budgets and time invoicing.
• Invest in professional development through trainings and networking events.
• Demonstrate high ethical standards and strong teamwork.
