Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking a Tax Director or Manager to join the Business Tax team. This in-office role is based out of one of several offices including Nashville, with opportunities to work with diverse business clients and advance your tax career.

You will lead engagements, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables while developing client relationships and contributing to the firm’s growth in the Tennessee market.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of tax experience in public accounting or professional services.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Active JD, CPA, or EA certification.

Responsibilities

• Consult with partnership, S-corp, and pass-through clients on tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to advance their careers.
• Foster opportunities for clients and communities while working with clients’ businesses.
• Review complex tax returns and participate in industry events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures appropriate to engagement size.

CLA is looking to hire a Tax Director or Manager to join CLA Carolantaville's Business Tax team. You’ll have the opportunity in this role to work with our business clients as you progress in your inspired career. This is an in office position based out of any of the following offices: Charlotte, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Atlanta, and Nashville.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Manager/Director role:

• Consult with partnership, S-corp, and pass-through clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
• Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
• Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
• Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-thru, and HNW personal tax returns.

What You Will Need

• You have a minimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with public accounting and/or professional services firm.
• You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
