Job summary

Kemper CPA Group LLP, a top 100 public accounting firm with 26 offices, seeks a Tax Manager for our Vincennes, IN office. Some overtime is expected during peak seasons. Minimum 5 years of supervisory tax experience and a CPA designation are required.

You will communicate with clients and coach staff throughout tax engagements. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing federal, state, local, and special tax returns, and maintaining regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• CPA designation with a minimum of 5 years of tax experience in a supervisory capacity within a regional or national public accounting environment.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate staff and client expectations by planning assignments, resolving issues, communicating outcomes, and developing staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review federal, state, local and special tax returns with client data and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare and/or review financial statements, reports, and records by analyzing information and trends.
• Maintain professional standards and knowledge through continuing education and professional networks.
• Contribute to the firm’s success by promoting efficient engagement execution and cultivating client relationships.
• Promote the firm through professional and community involvement.
• Manage assigned book of business within budgeted revenue and realization targets.
• Develop and coach staff.
• Additional duties as assigned.
