Job summary

CBIZ is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead and supervise tax engagements for corporate and partnership work. The role focuses on reviewing returns, mentoring staff, and managing client relationships while ensuring compliance and high-quality deliverables.

The candidate should have CPA certification (or equivalent), strong technical advisory skills, and the ability to travel as needed. This position supports hybrid work within CBIZ's tax practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• 3 years supervisory experience.

• Proficient use of applicable technology.

• Review federal and state corporate returns; Review high level federal and state partnership returns.
• Train and supervise staff, review and evaluate their work. Perform evaluations on lower level staff.
• Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.
• Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client's business.
• Perform research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field
• Bachelor's degree with a preference of study in Accounting or related field
• 5+ years' of relevant work and industry experience
• Prior experience managing engagements and clients
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
• Enrolled Agent designation
• Strong technical and broad based advisory and client management skills

Minimum Qualifications Required
