Job description

Job Title: Tax Manager | Corporate

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Compensation: $110,000.00-$170,000.00 (approx)

Essential Functions And Primary Duties

• Review federal and state corporate returns; review high‑level federal and state partnership returns.
• Train and supervise staff; review and evaluate their work.
• Perform evaluations on lower‑level staff.
• Manage compliance engagements, from budgeting to scheduling to managing staff.
• Make suggestions to help improve efficiencies within the department and on engagements.
• Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate interest and knowledge of client business.
• Perform research and draft memoranda on corporate tax issues.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with a preference of study in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work and industry experience.
• Prior experience managing engagements and clients.
• Ability to work independently, but also work well with others.
• Enrolled Agent designation.
• Strong technical and broad‑based advisory and client management skills.

Minimum Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field.
• 3 years supervisory experience.
• Must have active CPA or equivalent certification.
• Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally.
• Must be able to travel based on client and business needs.
• Proficient use of applicable technology.
