Job summary

Forvis Mazars, LLP is seeking a seasoned Tax professional to manage compliance and advisory services for individuals, partnerships, and corporations in Missouri. The role offers leadership, client engagement, and business development opportunities across Springfield, Branson, or Joplin.

A CPA and 5+ years of progressive tax experience are required, with strong MS Office skills and willingness to travel. The team delivers forward-thinking guidance, mentors staff, and aims for exceptional client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting.
• CPA license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage tax compliance and advisory services for individuals (Forms 1040, 1040-NR), partnerships (Form 1065), and corporations (Forms 1120, 1120-S).
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax matters and communicate findings through written reports.
• Review tax return preparations completed by others to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Engage with senior client stakeholders to identify tax issues, offer insights, and implement practical solutions.
• Drive client service excellence by maintaining high responsiveness and quality, and foster long-term relationships.
• Support client growth and retention through strategic planning and business development.
• Mentor and manage tax professionals, providing coaching and career development.
• Manage resources, budgets, and project workflows to ensure timely delivery.
