Job summary

Allworth Financial is seeking a Tax Manager to service clients with federal, state, and local tax preparation, projections and analysis. The role combines client-facing services with strategic tax planning in a hybrid Addison, TX environment.

The Tax Manager will lead tax return preparation and review for individual, trust, and gift tax matters, and coordinate with advisors and the financial planning team to deliver comprehensive tax services.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree, accounting preferred.
• CPA license required.
• 6+ years of individual, trust and gift tax return prep and review experience.
• Multi-state tax experience preferred.
• Strong Excel and related software skills.
• Intuit Lacerte experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and client service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review income, estate/trust and gift tax returns and provide feedback to staff.
• Determine federal/state/local filing requirements for various scenarios.
• Respond to IRS and state/local notices and inquiries.
• Collaborate with clients, advisors and tax planning team on strategy.
• Address client tax questions and issues with clarity and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with clients, advisors, and firm staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
