Job description

Are you ready to take on complex tax challenges at a global leader in technology, commerce, and innovation? We're hiring a Tax Manager! If you're looking for a new opportunity, check out this open role on our Tax Compliance team in Brazil.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Manage day-to-day Tax Compliance reporting for key Amazon group entities, including overseeing tax activities related to PIS, COFINS, ISS, and ancillary obligations such as EFD Contribuições and DCTF. Coordinate tax compliance activities, ensuring adherence to deadlines and internal controls.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design or improve tax-compliant processes.
  3. Evaluate the tax implications of business initiatives, transactions, and proposals; participate in company projects, resolve doubts, and propose tax solutions.
  4. Contribute to projects impacting the indirect tax strategy to mitigate litigation risks.
  5. Create and review company metrics, manage taxes, and identify potential risks.
  6. Work with stakeholders, including Accounting, to prepare tax records, reconcile returns, and ensure accuracy.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience in a large public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax department.
  2. Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
  3. Over 6 years of relevant tax experience in a corporate environment, public accounting, or law firm.
  4. Significant experience with Brazilian taxes (PIS, COFINS, ISS), international taxation, and digital/marketplace businesses.
  5. Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  6. Knowledge of Oracle and Synchro.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Skills in SQL, Alteryx, Python are advantageous.
