Position Summary

KPMG is seeking a Manager to join our Business Tax Services practice.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee client portfolios within the alternative investment fund industry (private equity, real estate, hedge funds).
2. Serve as the primary contact for internal and external clients.
3. Manage teams of tax professionals and assistants on client projects.
4. Assess tax implications of legal and regulatory changes; develop tax strategies and recommendations.
5. Manage engagement risks, financial performance, billing, collections, and project budgets.
6. Deliver high-quality tax services to clients.

Qualifications

1. Minimum five years of recent tax experience in the alternative investment industry.
2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; CPA, EA, JD/LLM, or other approved credentials (with a one-year window for obtaining credentials if not already possessed).
3. Proficiency in taxation of partnerships and tiered investment fund structures.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex financial information.
