Job summary

Caliber Recruiting Group is assisting a top CPA firm in downtown Washington DC to hire a Tax Manager. You will work with a multi-industry client base, provide planning, research and compliance guidance, and lead junior staff through tax reviews and advisory engagements.

The role emphasizes advisory work (about 90%) with some compliance, offering a hybrid schedule, generous benefits, and a salary range of $120,000–$150,000 plus retirement and healthcare options.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of tax prep and review experience with various entities.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent); master's preferred.
• CPA is not required but highly appreciated; EA also preferred.
• Strong tax skills, organization and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work independently and with management for a client group across industries.
• Advise on tax planning, research and compliance.
• Prep and review tax returns for C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships and Trusts.
• Provide business advisory support; 90% advisory, 10% compliance.
• Supervise and train junior tax personnel.
• Support local business events and client relationship building.
