Job summary

Precision Recruiting Solutions Group is seeking an in-house tax specialist with the ability to influence growth in domestic and international markets, and to own key tax processes.

You will manage federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance, tax provisions, and multi-state nexus, while coordinating with external advisors and supporting audits. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of tax experience are required; CPA or equivalent is highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of corporate tax, public accounting, or related tax experience.
  • Experience with federal and multi-state corporate income tax compliance.
  • General knowledge of sales and use tax and other state and local taxes.
  • Experience with corporate income tax provisions is preferred.
  • CPA highly preferred, or equivalent certification or training.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage federal, state, and local corporate income tax compliance, including preparation and review of corporate tax returns.
  • Oversee multi-state income, franchise, sales and use, and property tax compliance.
  • Monitor tax nexus requirements as the company grows and operates in multiple states.
  • Prepare or review tax provisions, including current and deferred income taxes.
  • Research tax issues and identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, deductions, and incentives.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors and taxing authorities and support federal and state tax audits.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation to support tax filings and tax positions.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate potential business impacts.
  • Support international tax matters as needed.
  • Prepare tax-related journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations as part of the monthly close.
  • Ensure tax liabilities, payments, and deferred tax balances are accurately reflected in the general ledger.
  • Support financial statement preparation and internal and external audits.
  • Partner with the accounting team to improve tax reporting and related processes.
