Distinct West Palm Beach CPA practice is seeking a Tax Manager to take ownership of a varied client portfolio, review returns, and collaborate with Partners on complex tax matters.
Hybrid work, opportunity to develop your career, mentor junior staff, and a culture that values life outside of work. CPA or EA preferred with strong Public Accounting experience.
Established in the 80s, this West Palm Beach CPA practice has built something that can be surprisingly difficult to find in Public Accounting. A team where people stay, Partners who know their employees and a culture where your life outside of work actually matters.
One of the Partners has a very simple philosophy: "Family comes first. Always."
And the working hours reflect that. Busy season doesn't properly ramp up until March, with hours peaking at around 50 for just a few weeks. There's hybrid working, flexibility around family commitments and the freedom to manage your day without someone constantly looking over your shoulder.
You'll have the opportunity to develop your career, work with interesting clients and take on responsibility without sacrificing every other part of your life.
So, what does the role involve?
As Tax Manager, you'll take ownership of a varied client portfolio, build relationships, review returns and work directly with the Partners on more complex tax matters.
The client base includes HNW individuals, Partnerships, Trusts and Non Profit organisations. Form 990 experience is particularly important here, alongside broader tax knowledge across Forms 1040, 1041 and 1065.
You'll also help mentor junior team members and have plenty of autonomy over how you manage your work.
What can you expect in return?
Hybrid working, competitive compensation, 401(k) match, health, dental and vision insurance, plus discretionary summer and Christmas bonuses.
They're looking for someone with strong Public Accounting experience and previous review responsibility. A CPA or EA is preferred.
