Titus Talent is seeking a qualified Tax Manager for a partner of ours.
The Tax Manager will oversee tax preparation and review for S‑corporations, partnerships, and high‑net‑worth individuals, while managing workflow and supporting tax partners with client interactions from preparation through signing. This role requires hands‑on leadership in training staff and interns, allocating work, and fostering professional development within a collaborative team.
5‑8+ years of technical tax experience at a CPA firm (required)
1‑2+ years of mentoring/coaching experience (required)
Certified Public Accountant’s license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation is preferred, or closely corresponding field (required). Master’s degree (preferred)
Proficient in the use of computer tax preparation, tax research and tax planning software programs.
Local would be nice to have but open to remote for right candidate.
Demonstrates the ability to advise clients proactively by translating complex tax laws and regulations into practical, tailored solutions. Engages directly with clients to understand their needs, provide strategic tax planning, and guide them from initial consultation through final return sign‑off. (50 clients minimum).
Skilled in training, mentoring, and coaching a team of 4+, fostering a growth‑oriented, high‑performing environment. Experienced in tax planning and research, providing strategic guidance to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance with current laws and regulations. Skilled in identifying tax‑saving opportunities and addressing complex tax issues with practical solutions.
Brings diverse tax experience across S‑corporations, partnerships, and high‑net‑worth individuals, with specialized expertise in $1MM‑$5MM+ S‑corps and partnerships. Skilled in serving healthcare professionals, attorneys, engineers, architects, and investment advisors, including multi‑state and complex partnership returns. Familiarity with C‑corporations and tax‑exempt organizations (Form 990) is a plus.
Possesses a strong ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies, staying current with trends and innovations. Proficient in tax technology platforms including CCH Axcess, Fixed Assets CS, and Caseware for business returns.
Exhibits strong motivation to achieve excellence in tax compliance and advisory services. Sets high standards, takes initiative to exceed targets, and consistently delivers accurate, timely results under pressure. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve processes and add value for clients and the organization.
