Job summary

TRM CPA is a fully remote tax firm looking for a Tax Manager who guides a team of accountants and manages client relationships year-round. You will oversee complex tax returns, review staff work, and craft tax plans using planning software to optimize client outcomes.

The role emphasizes a servant leadership mindset, CPA/EA credentials, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment while delivering exceptional service to business owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of tax experience working with small business owners.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent license required.
• A servant's heart and positive attitude for helping business owners understand the tax side of their businesses.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment.
• The desire to work with an outstanding team.

Responsibilities

• Manage team of accountants to oversee tax work is completed and ensure clients are taken care of
• Manage a group of client relationships by responding to their questions, meeting with them for tax planning throughout the year, and helping them with other accounting/advisory needs
• Tax return preparation for more complicated returns
• Review tax returns prepared by staff and senior level associates
• Prepare tax plan documents and use tax planning software to identify most ideal tax planning strategies
• Deliver tax plans for our clients throughout the year
